More new experiences! It is just so exciting. Went to our new church and Sunday school today. The service, somewhat like our Vineyard but certainly not the Vineyard that we love so much. Anyway, we were about the only gringos in our service. People were absolutely delightful. I had someone come and take us under his arm, sat with us, and filled us in on important information. I think the next service (which has more people attend) has several more of us gringos, but we wanted to try to Sunday School class out which met during that time. Our SS class had Canadians, Germans, South Africans, and was taught by a gentleman from Jamaica. Geeze, everyone spoke with an accent and we both had a headache afterward just from trying to listen and understand even though it was all in English. Very interesting though, although much different from the Sunday school class in Cincinnati (which we love so much too). My girls from CHCA were there with their dad. It was just much fun seeing them again, even though we were with them last night. Just that little connection from “home” was great. I wish the girls were going to be in Panama City rather than 7 hours away (north?, south?, east?, west?) Beats me where this place is they are staying. Directions are crazy here. Don’t really know what is north, south, etc.
We went to a VFW 4th of July party after church. I can’t even remember how I got connected to them. It was some forum or the other. I did so much research prior to coming here that it wasn’t funny. AND that was the message in Sunday school class today, all about research prior to doing something. Too funny. This entire experience has just has way too many connections that it is really crazy. Must be God’s plan for us. What else could it possibly be? BUT, I do really miss all my amazing friends in Cincinnai, AND my kids! THAT is the difficult part. I love you all!
